Join us as we come together to celebrate Newport’s rich and incredible musical history at The Protective Club located on Thames Street.
In 1904, some of the most popular and well-loved bands in Newport included John C. Mullaly’s Casino Orchestra as well as the 7th Coastal Artillery Corps Band, under the direction of John T. Freeman. In that same year, a new club was established in Newport with the aim of supporting both literary and social activities. This organization was known as The Protective Club.
An enjoyable evening filled with stories, food, and drinks. (Cash Bar)
