“The Vanderbilt Cup” was a 1906 Broadway musical which opened on January 16, 1906, and closed on June 1, 1906. It was inspired by the Long Island, New York motor race founded by William K. Vanderbilt, Jr., son of William K. and Alva Vanderbilt, owners of Newport’s Marble House.
